EEE Parts

EEE Parts can be a major cost and schedule driver in in Space projects.
The correct implementation of upper level Customer requirements,
correct Parts selection and effective procurement process are key items in a successful Project.

DB Assurance can provide the following services:

  • Generate the Project Component Control Plan
  • Identify possible benefits or risks when selecting ECSS-Q-ST-60C Class 1, Class 2 or Class 3 Quality Levels.
  • Support Design Engineers in selecting parts which are available in the required quality level.
  • Identify the Lot Acceptance requirements and major cost drivers for Non-Qualified parts
  • Chair Parts Control Boards for PAD reviews and Lot Acceptance data reviews
  • Generate and maintain the As Designed Standard Declared Components List
  • Generate the As Built Components Lists for each deliverable Flight Product

EEE Parts Procurement Management

EEE Parts Procurement is a complex function in its own right. Many Companies may not have the resources to manage EEE Parts procurement internally. DB Assurance has developed good working relationships with Parts Procurement Service providers in Europe. DB Assurance can provide the link between design engineers, parts selection, final configured parts list, and parts received in stock via the use of a Parts Procurement Service Provider

DB Assurance can provide the following services

  • Generate a Statement of Work for Parts Procurement Service Provider.
  • Generate Project Long Lead Items List.
  • Acquire all quotations required to finalise Parts selection and generate Purchase Orders.
  • Ensure sufficient quotations are received for cost and schedule optimisation
  • Generate Purchase Requests or Purchase Orders based on quotations received.
  • Manage PAD approval process to ensure PADs are approved prior to Parts Procurement, or mitigate risk of procurement in advance of PAD approval.
  • Generate and manage a Project EEE Parts Procurement status list.
